Holiday Open Studios: December 3, 2022

 Hello again-- (is there anybody out there?)

This is early notice that the artists down at the Atelier (a dozen of them anyway, including moi) will be opening our studios for one festive day this 1922 Holiday Season-- 

It'll be happening  on Saturday, Dec. 3rd, from 11-5 at2860 Bowen Street in Graton. 

I/we would love to see you, but if your schedule doesn't allow you to make it that one day, please contact me to arrange another time  Lisabee@sonic.net 

Also, my work can be seen at the Sebastopol Gallery on any ongoing basis! (150 N. Main St. just a couple doors up from Copperfield's) 

Hello all-- long time no see :  ) I haven't been officially on the Open Studios roster for a few years. Maybe next year. In the meantime, my studio (at the Atelier One in Graton) is always open by arrangement (Lisabee@sonic.net); I post more frequently to Facebook (under my name) & Instagram (@lisabeerntsenart); and my work can be seen at the Sebastopol Gallery on Main Street. Hope to catch up with you somewhere soon!

Nature drawings-- Inktober and beyond!

I began this series of small, nature based watercolor drawings in October '19, as part of the online 'Inktober' daily challenge. As I found that the format & discipline suited me, I've continued into November & December (with somewhat less discipline. I'd like to try to keep it up yearround... a record of our Sonoma County seasons. Stay tuned

In summer, I often begin a series of smaller works on paper. It gives me more room to experiment and generate ideas than I feel with larger  work. Here's some of what this summer (2019) looked like.

"Hands on Art" Open Studios at Atelier One, 2860 Bowen St. Studio #8, Graton, CA,  September 29-30, 2018, 11:00-6:00. Celebrating 31 years as artist studios, Atelier One invites you to visit the 17 artists showing in the building. Live music on Sunday noon-3:00.

Just a quick update after a long absence from the blogosphere: this summer I worked on a project called 50/50: in which almost 70 artists created 50 small works in 50 days.
The show opens this evening in Pacifica at the Sanchez Art Center, and continues through September 28th.
